Holmesick
Why on earth did I agree to do this?
He stared out of the window into the distance where he could see snow-covered mountains pierce the clear blue sky.
He missed London so much, he could almost feel the pain physically. He missed the noises and the smell, missed his own four walls, missed his housekeeper, missed his work, even missed his infuriating brother a little bit.
But he went where he was needed and right now he was needed here to fix the mess the leaders of this country had got themselves into.

Why on earth did I agree to do this?
He stared out of the window into the distance where he could see the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and Castle Hill looming into a grey sky.
He missed London so much, he could almost feel the pain physically. He missed the noises and the smell, missed his flat and Mrs Hudson, missed his work, even missed his meddling brother a little bit. But most of all he missed John.
But he went where he was needed and right now he was needed here to find the missing piece of the puzzle.
While he waited for his informant to call he wondered if Mycroft ever got homesick and how much longer he was going to be stuck in Budapest.

Today's prompt was 'longing / homesick'.
As for the title, yep, I went there. :P
Since there are still some people who prefer to read me here, I will keep posting to LJ. Thank you for letting me know. :)
Plus, I would really miss the wonderful tags I have here. ;)

Oh, and if you were refering to AO3 because of my AN, I meant it the other way round. I would miss the wonderful tags that I have here (like 'inconvenient boner' *haha*) if I were to post to AO3 only.

Date: 2013-03-09 09:28 pm (UTC)Ha ha! :D
He missed London so much, he could almost feel the pain physically. He missed the noises and the smell, missed his own four walls, missed his housekeeper, missed his work, even missed his infuriating brother a little bit.
And of course you got me (again), then I got to the end of the sentence and went all, "BUT WHY DOES HE NOT MISS JOHN???", then I remembered it was your story. And that you had got me. Again. :D Also, I don't think Mycroft would say he misses his own four walls, I thought he'd say "my own twelve walls". At the very least. It's Mycroft, you know. :D
And you use the same words for Sherlock but you say "Mrs Hudson", not "his housekeeper". Clever!
And of course I now demand the sequel, Sherlock and John's reunion! :D

Date: 2013-03-10 08:14 pm (UTC)Really, when I saw Széchenyi, my heart suddenly jumped out of my chest!!! You made me very happy, thx <3
Clever title is clever ;) And of course, you got me as well. They really got so much in common. I love them both. And I hope John is not so bored alone at home. He may enjoy his 'afew (?) days of normal life' holiday! (Or is it set maybe after he left Sherlock for a while?)
I'm glad you stay here as well! Yay for you tags. And for your design :D

Date: 2013-03-10 09:18 pm (UTC)I was very proud of myself when I suddenly realised that Budapest would be a lovely b-word!
I didn't have enough words left, otherwise I would have written him going to the Halászbástya because that's one of my favourite places in Budapest. Especially at night when it's almost empty. Although I think maybe nowadays it might be closed off at nights?
(Or is it set maybe after he left Sherlock for a while?)
No, it's just Sherlock being away for a few days because of the case. No major heartbreak in this one. ;)

Date: 2013-03-15 01:05 pm (UTC):D And I'm very happy, cause it's a nice B-word in Hungarian as well ;)
Halászbástya is a lovely place, I like it too! Unfortunatley I wasn't there lately. There is a restaureant in it now. As far as I know it's indeed, closed off at nights.
If you'll come here once, we may go visit it :)
I'm happy to hear that there is no major heartbreak in it! He should have brought John with, to enjoy this lovely place :P
