Previous 221b: Come, rain or shine

Today's prompt: warehouse

________________________________________________

I spy with my little eye

“What are you looking at, Freak?”

Sally Donovan was the first to step from the car that had just arrived and of course the first thing she did was to verbally lash out at Sherlock.

“Charming as always, Sergeant.”

“What’s going on?”

Lestrade came up to them, his hands busy buttoning up his coat.

“I don’t know. Freak seems to have had some kind of epiphany while staring at the warehouse. What do you see?”

“A warehouse?”

They both turned to look at Sherlock for a few seconds, then their gaze went to John, hoping he might offer an explanation. Before he could, a third person joined the group.

“Want to know what I see?”

“No, Anderson. No one is interested in hearing anything you think you have to say, so please refrain from trying to force your inane insights on us.”

“Charming as always, Sherlock,” Lestrade said. But there was a smirk in his eyes. Then his face grew serious as he focused on the task at hand.

“Shall we?”

John watched them go and he looked at the warehouse for a few moments before following them. He knew what Sherlock had seen: an opportunity to stop him from going crazy, to occupy his mind, to feel needed and valued; distraction and purpose through the smell of gunpowder and blood.

Next 221b: It's the thought that counts

AN:
The prompt was 'warehouse'.

'I spy with my little eye'. In German the name of the game is literally 'I see something that you don't see'. But I think the meaning is the same, yes?

What do you call it where you are from?

I am from Germany ;)

So it's: "Ich seh etwas das du nicht siehst."

And usually you add a hint about what you are seeing, like "... and it is red".

It it okay for me to hate Sally and Donovan and even be angry with Lestrade for letting them be such shits to Sherlock?

But it makes me very happy that John understood him...

Bloody Donovan. I like Lestrade, but sometimes I do get annoyed with him for allowing such unprofessionalism. I like your description of him having 'a smirk in his eyes', though... I think I'd forgive him a lot when he has that cheeky gleam :D

I like the title a lot :D

Strangly enought, I have a feeling that they really started to become a team. I mean, including Donovan and Anderson. Not a team of friends or people who can work togehter perfectly, but somehow... hard to say but now everyone have a role they follow and... of course Sherlock's able to surprise them again and again, but they're prepared to being surprised. And the mutual insults are part of the game as well. Seems to me they find their rythm, their group dynamics. (Does it make sense? I'm not sure XD)

And of course, John understands Sherlock perfectly <3

*reads* title
*Thinks* about balcony in last 221B
*reads* tags
*Pouts*

*Mind Boggles* I was not expecting that, just reading along enjoying the banter.
“I don’t know. Freak seems to have had some kind of epiphany while staring at the warehouse. What do you see?”
“A warehouse?”

TeeHee. Yay! a funny one.
But then:
John watched them go and he looked at the warehouse for a few moments before following them. He knew what Sherlock had seen: an opportunity to stop him from going crazy, to occupy his mind, to feel needed and valued; distraction and purpose through the smell of gunpowder and blood.
*Stealthy*Feels*Bomb* goes KA-BOOM! and it was beautiful and it was elegantly twisty and it made my heart hurt in a happy way? Perfect,Thank You!
Your AN: In German the name of the game is literally 'I see something that you don't see'. But I think the meaning is the same, yes?
Reading that just made the final bit so much more perfectyer(yes, that's a word now)and I wish I could read German so you could use that as a title 'cause then 'sophisticated title is sophisticated'tag would have given us some warning (maybe) have been used and I am babbling while bouncing in my chair 'cause this was so,so,good.
