The games people play
“It’s not possible.”
“Sherlock, that’s so not the point.”
“There are so many better ways to kill someone. Even for an ENT physician.”
“You do understand that this is not how the game works?”
“Then it’s a stupid game.”
“Are you really that childish? Just because I won?”
“You did not win. You can’t win when the initial situation is that absurd.”
Sherlock threw himself onto the sofa and turned his back to the room. John was not sure if he should laugh or slam his head against the next best horizontal surface.
“Hoo-hoo!”
“Hello, Mrs Hudson. Come in.”
“Thank you, John. How are you boys dealing with the snow storm?”
“Not so good.”
She glanced towards the sofa, “Yes, I can see that.”
John grinned and asked, “And you?”
“Oh, it reminds me of my childhood. Collapsing electricity, no phone connections, no traffic. I am glad that I have a fireplace though.”
“I made some tea on the gas cooker just now, would you like some?”
Mrs Hudson nodded and walked over to the sofa. Sherlock uncurled himself and sat up to make room for her without needing to be prompted. She patted his knee.
“And what made you so angry, dear?”
“That stupid game John made me play. It’s just not possible to stab someone with a tongue blade!”

AN:
Today's prompt was 'tongue'.
I got confused with my text files yesterday and opened (and posted) a wrong 221B. Not that it really matters, but having the prompt 'tongue' right after the 'Tongue-in-cheek incident' would have been even funnier. *is easily amused*

Date: 2012-09-06 11:11 pm (UTC)But it's still funny, and I love the idea of Sherlock and John trapped at home during a snow storm and a power failure. Nothing to do except snuggling under the covers and... *gets lost into a dream involving Sherlock, John, a bed and snuggling* Thank you for these lovely images. It was worth my initial mortification. :D

P.S. I really like how he scoots over to make room for Mrs. Hudson. As he very well ought to!

The bickering was so cute, though Sherlock needs to stop being such a sore loser, and I love Mrs. Hudson being reminded of her childhood.
Can I *sqeeee* a little about the sweet way John and Sherlock take care of her in an understated way.
With making her tea and scooching over to make room for her on the sofa.
This gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies at how much a family they are. Thank You!

Date: 2012-09-07 03:53 am (UTC)Poor John...Sherlock is hard enough to entertain at the best of times, let alone when trapped at home with no power. Eep.

Date: 2012-09-07 08:20 am (UTC)Oh Sherlock! And hell, how can he be so utterly adorable when he's sulking and unreasonable? I bet John is asking that himself quite often...
Very amusing dear!
