Previous 221b: A different kind of virginity

Today's prompt: numbers/ counting

What friends are for

“Was there any purpose to your visit here or is bothering me the only thing on today’s agenda?”

“I am bothering you? You’ve done nothing than talk about your non-existent love life until now.”

“I have no idea what to do, I’ve forgotten how to even talk to women. How do people flirt these days?”

Sherlock raised his eyes from the file in front of him and silently looked at him. Greg sighed, “Yeah, pretend I did not just ask you for dating advice.”

“I’m really beginning to regret coming here today.”

“I’m sorry if me being miserable disturbs your thought process. I am lonely, Sherlock.”

“And what am I, your social worker?”

Two hours later, after having followed Lestrade to Barts, Sherlock slammed a piece of paper on the slab between Greg and Molly Hooper. Right on top of the body.

“Here. The numbers of five women who wouldn’t be averse to go on a date with a police inspector. Even you should be capable to get at least one of them to go out with you.”

“Charming, Sherlock.”

Sherlock stormed off and Lestrade found himself blushing. But not as deeply as Molly Hooper.

“Do you want to... I mean, I know about being lonely. No, what I mean is... I have one in twenty minutes. Um, I mean... a break.”

AN:
Today's prompt was 'numbers/ counting'.

I just noticed that I already used the title le 'What friends are for' when Lestrade forced Sherlock to go jewellery-shopping with him. Seems this is going to be a thing. ;)

Aw, how lovely! So this is how it started with Molly and Greg. Sweet!
And I wonder if these two would find that Molly's number is on the list, too, if they gave it a closer look.

Aww, our sweet babboos... (squishes you for this little scene)

My guess is that Sherlock would not even think of Molly.

Right on top of the body.
*giggles* Of course.

“Do you want to... I mean, I know about being lonely. No, what I mean is... I have one in twenty minutes. Um, I mean... a break.”
It sounds very much like Molly.

It's lovely! So this is how the Gregolly Molleg Lestooper Hoopade began? With Sherlock as the matchmaker? As the others, I wonder if Molly was on the list...

It's "I’ve forgotten how to even talk to women." ;-)

Gregolly Molleg Lestooper Hoopade
Jesus Freaking Christ, these are all awful!

No, I don't see Molly on this list. Though it would be interesting to think about WHY the five women made the list. What criteria did Sherlock use?

I'd love to come up with a coherent comment, but I've got nothing beyond a pile of 'Aww'... lovely!

Good lord...Greg *must* have been desperate to start looking to Sherlock for dating help. I mean...yikes. Adorable ending (beginning!), though! :D

Haha, you're right! I think I need a tag 'things (or people) landing on top of a body'! :D

I'm pretty sure Molly made the first move by accident. ;)

Thank you for all the 'awwwww' and the cheering! <3

*giggles* Sherlock is such a good friend, isn't he just?
And yes, lonliness sucks. Seems Sherlock got that bit.
Very lovely in a very Sherlockian way!!

(Also, sorry for my icon hopping! I think I've now settled on three (or four?) I use, all depending on the mood of your 221Bs which I of course wanna match.)

Thank you so much!

(Oh, please. I love icon hopping! I used to do it all the time. Verity called me 'icon-girl'. :D But I think it's easier for people to find my entries in the comm's list when they know what icon to look for, so I stopped. More or less... )

You're welcome!

(And thnx for understanding. I used to be a one-icon-girl but then fandom corrupted me. And other lj users. And authors. Especially authors and their atmosphere-creations.
Aaaanyway - I know what you mean and I also think it's good you have that one icon. I saw you using other ones and I assumed it was because someone else had used the same pic for their icon you're using. 'coz I was bit confused when I just saw the icon, clicked the link and was not inside your head! Now I always check the name too.)

((And speaking of which I just felt like hopping again *g*))
