As a writing exercise for me
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Because this exercise is meant to help me write and not interfere with my usual writing, I will post at least one longer story per month (argh).
The challenge officially starts today, but since I already posted the first four 221Bs, I will not re-post them but merely change the posting date (I hope that works out the way I planned...). The first new entry will be on day 5 (Saturday).
I will make a weekly post to the comms, because I don’t want to spam the list every day.
What do you think? Questions? Comments? Let me hear it! :)
Question to you: Should I post the prompt in the summary or rather in the author's note so that I don't give it away before you can read it?

Second: wow. One 221B every day AND one longer fic every month? You're not afraid of challenges. Do you need a stock of coffee or nicotine patches?
Third: until now Atlin's prompts were rather vague, I don't think it's a problem if you put them in the summary, au contraire it can make our mouths water (figuratively speaking; well, I mean, most of the time figuratively speaking *coughs*), unless it gives away the ending as "Buttons" in I hang on with all my might; in this case the prompt would be better in the AN. But it's only my opinion!
Finally: this challenge may be exhausting for you but this is great news for us! Bon voyage et bon courage! :-)

Date: 2012-05-06 07:18 pm (UTC)I mean, I say challenge, but does it have to be a challenge like that???

Date: 2012-05-01 08:57 pm (UTC)Regarding the prompts, I think the author's notes would be the better place for them.

Date: 2012-05-01 09:37 pm (UTC)On the other hand, yes, the picture is pretty. There's something especially ... stirring about the left side of Sherlock's face. Also, I see Atlin came up with metal numbers for you! Clever girl.
Good luck to you as you embark on this new & highly Sherlock-y project.

No, wait. Don't ask her. It's not a good idea. :D

Umm, that is all.
You did a fantastic job on that, Atlin. Dammit, is there anything you're not good at?
Best of luck with this, Anarion! We'll all be here with pom poms waving excitedly and cheering you on. And yeah, I'd go with generally putting the prompt in the AN unless there's a specific reason to put it before the story itself.
