Apart from the overall Christmasy theme we decided to refer to the previous 221B so that there will be a story in the end. Let's see how that works out.
A happy pre-Christmas season to all of you! :)

Day 21
When John came home from work, carrying bags full of groceries for tomorrow’s Christmas dinner, he was welcomed by a loud bang. Followed by a crashing noise. And Sherlock cursing.
John dropped the bags and stormed into the kitchen.
The room was filled with smoke and John could barely make out Sherlock’s silhouette. His hazardous flatmate stumbled over to the window and yanked it open. The air got better immediately.
“Christ, Sherlock, what happened in here?”
“Experiment.”
“I can see that. And it obviously went wrong. It looks like all the experiments you ever made exploded all over the kitchen. How am I supposed to cook the Christmas dinner in here?”
Sherlock was still standing with his back to John. John sighed.
“Is this your attempt to prevent the dinner? Why?”
“Talked to Mycroft earlier. I really do not want to see him any time soon.”
“What did he say?”
Silence filled the kitchen.
“Sherlock. What did he say?”
“He said I wasn’t trustworthy. He said you should not trust me.”
John walked closer, until he could put his arms around Sherlock, and pressed his face against the other man’s back.
“I probably shouldn’t. Would be safer. And boring. I chose this, Sherlock. And I trust you, always and implicitly, whether you dash ahead, walk beside me or watch my back.”

AN: I am really late today. I apologise. But the new Sherlock clips and the Hobbit trailer completely fried my brain...
Also can you please assume that there was some tender kissing afterwards and Sherlock (kinda) forgave Mycroft? I had the explosion in the kitchen and the last sentence and I needed someone to say this to Sherlock. Mycroft made the most sense. So I wrote it. But then I remembered that the Christmas Dinner is supposed to happen tomorrow... Damn.
Blame Sherlock-in-a-sheet for the confusion.
