Advent Calender: Day 7
Dec. 7th, 2011 03:43 pmThis is day 7 of the Advent calendar filled with 221Bs, brought to you by
Apart from the overall Christmasy theme we decided to refer to the previous 221B so that there will be a story in the end. Let's see how that works out.
A happy pre-Christmas season to all of you! :)
Day 6 by the fabulous days_of_storm here
Day 7
Mrs Hudson caught John the next morning, asking him if he could give her a hand with some boxes for her Christmas decoration.
John was happy to help, especially since there was no case and Sherlock would probably spend the whole day either with some crazy experiment (hopefully nothing explosive or hazardous this time) or sleeping (yes, believe it or not, he does sleep – mostly at day and not at night though).
John entered and the two talked while he carried some boxes from a cupboard to her living room.
“How’s Sherlock?”
“Mad at me because I beat him at a game.”
“Ha. Well done!”
Of course Sherlock wasn’t really mad at him, but he pretended to pout until John made it up to him the same night.
A sudden flashback to the writhing and moaning man underneath him and John had to turn around, pretending to get the next box, in order to hide his face.
“And how does he like the calender?”
“Um... I’m not sure he grasped the concept yet.”
“Don’t worry, dear, I’m sure he loves it, even if he does not admit it.”
He praised Mr Hudson’s Christmas tree and promised to send Sherlock down to help her put the star on top of it.
“Thank you so much for your help. Here, have a biscuit.“

Date: 2011-12-07 04:18 pm (UTC)Oh, only his face ? It's a chaste 221B, then. Are you sure Sherlock didn't lose the game on purpose, just so that John feels an urge to, er, make up ? Win-win situation, anyway. :D
“And how does he like the calender?”
For my part I love yours ! But I'm sorry to hear you're sick again. You work too much, my dear : this calendar, I watch you while you sleep... Maybe you should rest a bit and...
*freezes and realizes what she's just said*
No, listen, I think work is good for you. Do as John does, have a biscuit and keep on working. Please. :D
P.S. Aargh, LJ is sick again, like you ! It took me hours yesterday to post my comment to your (brilliant and wonderful) fic and I feel it's going to be the same today. *sighs*

Haha. Don't worry, nothing except maybe a pool situation will keep me from writing this calendar. ;)

Date: 2011-12-08 12:12 am (UTC)I love that you included Mrs Hudson, I always picture her involved when I think about Christmas at 221B. It's sweet that John gets disturbing thoughts when he thinks about Sherlock, but come on John, Mrs Hudson lives below you. She knows everything.
Work has been evil this week so far, and those stories truly brighten my mornings. You're fantastic!

(And Oi! My 5'3"
short-arsedself just uses couches and chairs and STANDS REAL TALL and I decorate a 6 ft tree just fine-- just don't 'tippy-toe' near it or else you'll do like I did once back when I was a child and fall into and knock over the whole tree. That was freaking PAINFUL.)no subject
