Summary: Sherlock from a new point of view.
He is like a force of nature. Like all the elements combined and captured in that lean body.
He is like fire – you can bathe in his light, dance in his blaze with him, but if you get too close you’ll get burned.
He is like water – sometimes a still water running deep, then suddenly crashing down on you tsunami-like, drowning out everything else.
He is like wind – he can sweep you of your feet with his enthusiasm, but just as easily drop you like a raging storm, have you spinning, falling, crashing to the ground from a deadly height.
He is like the earth – sometimes steady ground, sometimes treachery and slippery as a swamp or opening up to swallow you whole.
She loves watching him, loves to feel all his attention focused on her (though it's sometimes scaring her a bit), loves feeling important and valued (even if only for a short time, before she falls back into nothingness and insignificance). Loves him, probably (no, definitely).
She hates watching him leave with that man at his side, who is as unremarkable as she is, but somehow managed to get his attention. Hates that man sometimes.
She hates watching him leave, deleting her from his mind the moment she fulfilled her function.
Every time it's like something inside her is bleeding.

Date: 2011-09-05 01:42 pm (UTC)Yes, it is really sad, I so feel for poor Molly! It's hard to be invisible to another person, especially when you like them as much as she seems to like him.

Date: 2011-10-15 09:14 pm (UTC)The way you used the elements to describe Sherlock was stunning. You found the perfect words and it didn't seem as though you were trying to force a metaphor. The images were just...fitting and beautiful. And in just 221 words! Oh please, tell me how you do it? I want to be able to start a fic without it turning into a 50 000 words monster!
(Yeah, I'm reading everything. Apologies to your email inbox.)
