Thought I try something new this time. The idea was born after a short exchange with [livejournal.com profile] aurora_boreali about Sherlock being like the wind.

Title: Force of nature
Words: 221B
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Pairings : none, can be gen or slash
Disclaimer: Sadly the characters are not mine and no money is made (that would be sooo cool!).

Summary: Sherlock from a new point of view.

He is like a force of nature. Like all the elements combined and captured in that lean body.

He is like fire – you can bathe in his light, dance in his blaze with him, but if you get too close you’ll get burned.

He is like water – sometimes a still water running deep, then suddenly crashing down on you tsunami-like, drowning out everything else.

He is like wind – he can sweep you of your feet with his enthusiasm, but just as easily drop you like a raging storm, have you spinning, falling, crashing to the ground from a deadly height.

He is like the earth – sometimes steady ground, sometimes treachery and slippery as a swamp or opening up to swallow you whole.

She loves watching him, loves to feel all his attention focused on her (though it's sometimes scaring her a bit), loves feeling important and valued (even if only for a short time, before she falls back into nothingness and insignificance). Loves him, probably (no, definitely).

She hates watching him leave with that man at his side, who is as unremarkable as she is, but somehow managed to get his attention. Hates that man sometimes.

She hates watching him leave, deleting her from his mind the moment she fulfilled her function.

Every time it's like something inside her is bleeding.

Yep, that is Sherlock.
I wonder if poor Molly exists to be the Non-Mary Sue fangirl. Maybe that is why no one (that I've noticed)hates the poor girl.

How could anyone hate that poor girl? I always want to hug her (and hit Sherlock sometimes for treating her that way *lol*)

He really IS like a force of nature - you're absolutely right. Interesting to see a Molly perspective... very nicely done. I'm glad I don't (OK, 'can't'!) write 221Bs, or I'd be worried about you taking all the good ones ;)

The beautiful thing about 221Bs is that you can take a word, give it to four different people and you get four completely different fics out of it.

So I couldn't take all the good ones. I would of course take credit for coming up with the cool b-words ;)

Love the element metaphors--very very well done! Must admit, I didn't go straight away to Molly, though. First I thought it was Mrs. Hudson's POV, and then I thought it was the skull!

Thanks for this!

OK glad I am not the only one who thought of the skull. I also thought of 221B as well. Which is cool.

221B as narrator? That's a brilliant idea! :)

hey, you wrote it, just my take on it... or maybe too much Doctor Who... :D

I wrote a fic once from the perspective of the Scarf, so why not the flat?!

And I just had an amazing idea for another 221B! Thanks! *hugs*

Look out for it over the next few days. :D

Yay!
Pets your muse and feeds it chocolates... Pretty pretty... Go make nice fic now!

Thank you, I am glad the metaphors worked! :)

I was looking forward to see if people got to Molly as the POV. The skull is a great idea too though!

It's a great way to describe Sherlock. I really liked that bit. And so sad at the same time. Poor Molly. :(

Thank you! :)

Yes, it is really sad, I so feel for poor Molly! It's hard to be invisible to another person, especially when you like them as much as she seems to like him.

I liked Molly immediately and I always feel sad for her. She really deserves better. Poor Molly!

I thought it was the skull, too! I love the way you expressed how he's such a force of nature. It's clever but well executed too. Really excellent.

Beautiful! I love Molly so much, she's like every one of my friends who had a crush on someone at one point, and I clearly recognized the longing and the frustration and the hurt... God I want to hug her.

The way you used the elements to describe Sherlock was stunning. You found the perfect words and it didn't seem as though you were trying to force a metaphor. The images were just...fitting and beautiful. And in just 221 words! Oh please, tell me how you do it? I want to be able to start a fic without it turning into a 50 000 words monster!

(Yeah, I'm reading everything. Apologies to your email inbox.)

Haha, it seems we each have our own strength, I have problems writing lengthy fics, I prefer short. And 221Bs seem to be my favourite format. I could never write 50 000 words. I think the longest thing I did was 'Another Blink' and that had, I don't know, 12 000 words. *lol*

(Funnily enough I have a two hour window tomorrow that is reserved for catching up on your story. I made this appointment with myself weeks ago!)
