It wasn't a criticism, I know three years is canon! :-) But it must have seemed sooo much longer for a John-in-love like in this verse than for a John-just-friend like in canon. In fact I hope Mofftiss will keep the proportions rather than the length of time; I mean, they knew each other for 18 months, not ten years, so Sherlock could be gone for six months only. If Mofftiss is kind and not evil like you two. :D
