Previous 221b: The issue with the tissue

Today's prompt: sheep/ farm

________________________________________________

As innocent as a lamb

“There is a dead sheep on the sofa.”

“Perfectly sound analysis, John.”

“There is a dead sheep ON THE SOFA.”

“The outcome doesn’t change, even if you start yelling.”

“WHY is there a dead sheep on the sofa? And don’t you dare start your defense with ‘It’s for an experiment.’ I will hurt you if you do.”

“It’s for...”

“The same goes for ‘It’s for a case’. Jesus, Sherlock have you lost your mind? It smells.”

“You’re a doctor, aren’t you used to that?”

“I... This is my home, Sherlock. Just get rid of it, will you?”

Sherlock looked somewhat disappointed at John becoming calm again. John suddenly remembered the exploded mobile in the microwave, Sherlock breaking his favourite mug, his disappeared jumper.

“Wait. What are you doing? Are you trying to get us to fight?”

The only answer he got was a somewhat guilty glance at the floor.

“You are. Why?”

“I... might have read something about make-up sex.”

“You want us to fight just to get to the make-up sex?”

“Not good?”

“No, it’s just... It doesn’t work that way. Make-up sex is special, because it follows a fight, a time of not talking to each other, of uncertainty. You can’t fake it.”

“You can have special sex without a fight though.” He adds grinning suggestively after a beat.

I might have mentioned that a dozen times but you really have a flair for dialogue. It's very lively and funny.

“I... might have read something about make-up sex.”
“Not good?”

I love Sherlock when he lacks confidence.

“You can have special sex without a fight though.”
Really? Dear me Anarion, dear me. I'm afraid this kind of sentence requires a sequel. :D

Gosh, that is very nearly romantic there, for Sherlock... Picking a fight just for the make up sex....
(and thank goodness John is just crazy enough to understand that...)
:D
When I think of sheep, I think of New Zealand! Maybe another time... ;)

Fantastic opening line, great middle section, and it's hard to beat an ending which includes John grinning suggestively!

Pretty much an all-round win for this one - love it :D

Now see, this really is sex on the horizon. Why the hell is this sex on the horizon? Why isn't the sex right here, where it belongs? Sorry got carried away...

Hehehe, Sherlock really knows how to push Johns buttons.

I forget who mentioned your flare for dialog but yeah. I swear just this snippet?

'I will hurt you if you do.'

I read that three times because I love the preemptive nature of it, the JOHN nature of it and the fact that it works. Well mostly. Sherlock is about to say case, but still...

Also, I agree with whoever said, "why is the sex on the horizon? Why isn't it here now?"

Aaaand I love how everyone did a big comment for this one. *Teehee*

I was thinking about dedicating it to you, but then again, your sheep are so cute and alive, it would have been kinda mean. ;)

Hahahaaa. yeah, kinda. Oh well,Sherlock did figure out that they are suicidal after all...so it's not a miracle that he now brought a dead one home XD

This has so many funny lines it's hard to pick a favorite one but:

"There is a dead sheep ON THE SOFA."
"The outcome won't change, even if you start yelling."

"The same goes for 'It's for a case'. Jesus, Sherlock have you lost your mind? It smells."
"Your a doctor, aren't you be used to that?"(head on desk with the laughing.)

You really have a gift 'cause the voices are pitch perfect.

And guilty Sherlock is too cute for words "I...might have read something about make-up sex." (makes me want to pinch his little cheeks{at either end}he's so clueless.)

Brava! Go You!
edit 'cause, hard to type with the *giggles*

*hahaha* I love you!

Also, is this a modified quote from somewhere? It sounds so familiar (without the sex on the horizon)...

I never tire to hear that. Especially since I always thought that I couldn't do dialogue. Thank you!
