Today's prompt: muscles

Carried Away

Sherlock is not a muscular man. Oh, don't get me wrong, he has muscles. You just don't see them.

Which is why you might find the idea of him carrying John ridiculous. He has done so on several occasions though.

Mostly emergencies like the time when John was unconscious and the building on fire. Or the time when John broke his ankle while they were hiking in some remote mountain range.

And of course right after John proposed to him. Sherlock grabbed him and carried him into the bedroom to consummate the thing right there and then. He figured since John did the proposing, he could be the one to carry him into the bedroom. That's what you do, right? You share tasks.

John does not really like being carried. It makes him feel even shorter than he actually is. He can deal with it in emergencies and he really likes having sex while Sherlock stands and carries John’s weight with his arms, but that doesn’t really count.

The one time he really liked it? When Sherlock picked him up and carried him to bed after he proposed. It was such a loving gesture it didn’t even matter that he tripped and they both ended up on the floor (where they consummated their marriage too), giddy with happiness and slightly bruised.

Today's prompt was 'muscles'.

Excuse me, seeing the word Sherlock next to the word muscles tends to distract me a little. What I wanted to say is: yay for a sequel to Child's Play!

Sherlock grabbed him and carried him into the bedroom to consummate the thing right there and then.
I'm with Sherlock on this matter. It's better to get rid of this kind of chore straight away. (Damn, I said straight.)

It was such a loving gesture it didn’t even matter that he tripped and they both ended up on the floor (where they consummated their marriage too), giddy with happiness and slightly bruised.
That's the sort of fall I enjoy, the one without anything to do with this Reichenbach thing. :D

Yeah, no, there is nothing straight about this. *lol*

I am glad you enjoyed the sequel to Child's Play, there will be another one this week. And I am pretty sure the story about John buying the ring will turn up eventually as well. :D

Gosh, that's so lovely!! The mirroring experiences of the carrying are incredibly well done and it was wonderful to read.

Do you think there's a chance to have a file of all of your drabbles one day (how many days to go? About 340? YEAH!!) so we can just read them and read them and read them? I often read them in my break or when I'm on the road and can't save them then. It would be awesome. But there's still days to come and I'm looking forward to them!

Oh, thank you so mich! <3

That's a good idea. Maybe I can do one file per quarter or something like that? What do you think?

Not for John, it doesn't. :P

I think that'd be perfect! And not only for me :) I'm sure people would download it and read through it - for the first time or again. And again. And then, again.
I can imagine it's quite some work to arrange but yes, I would love such files.

Fabulous!

Like other readers, I struggled a little to get past 'Sherlock' and 'muscles'. I don't know why. Just a 'happy place' kind of moment, for which I thank you most sincerely!

"That's what you do, right? You share tasks."

There's always a line in these 221Bs that I adore especially and this is the one here. It's exactly how Sherlock's mind would work, I think. Exactly this!

I am so glad to hear that, because I thought about that line when I edited this and wondered if it would work for other people. :)

Damn it, I haven't been reading the comments, and I realize now that I tend to pick out what Atlin's picked. Ah, well, not going to stop now, because it's better to get the honest feedback than something creative, right?
