I can Feel the floor boards beneath my feet as I stand here and watch you sleep.

The desire for you spreads through me as fast as a deadly Disease. There is nothing I can do about it, even if I wanted to. You are a radiant beauty, pale in the Bright Lights of the moon.

Whether I am Unwell or Cold, All I Need is to step into your arms, feel you holding me tight, your chin resting on top of my head, your breath ruffling my hair, and everything is instantly better.

How can you love someone like me, with all the scars, the visible and the invisible? How did you even notice me with my limp and my Hand Me Down clothes?

Could I Be You, just for a moment, would I be able to see myself in a different light?

I gently lie down on the bed next to you and you instantly turn towards me, a sleep-heavy hand reaching aimlessly.

They said being with you would be my Downfall, but they were oh so wrong. When you came along my Soul was a tiny flickering light, but you managed not only to preserve but to reignite it.

You’re so real, you’re warmth and companionship and you are here. That makes all The Difference.

My thoughts wander a few hours back to you Bent on this bed, every Push bringing our heated bodies closer together, until we were almost inseparable.

I want to be close to you now, sleep in the safety of your embrace, but I fear to disturb you. The clock downstairs chimes 3 am.

Then you suddenly pull me into your arms and your voice reaches me just before sleep takes over.

“John, you are so much more than you think you are.”

AN: Yeah, no idea where that came from. I was putting new music on my player and while typing the titles of a Matchbox 20 album I noticed that they are almost a fic in itself.

[Should I mention that the first word combination that caught my eye was 'Bent' and 'Push'?]

So I wrote a little fic, using all the titles in the right order. The album is -of course- called 'More than you think you are'.

It reads perfectly beautifully as a story, without even knowing the background, but the way you've incorporated all those songs is nothing short of genius. I'm sure it would take me at least 5,000 words to cover an entire album - I am in awe!

Perfect last sentence for a very lovely fic. John angsting in the dark (without any reason, as everybody knows, except him, of course ; read fanfics, John !) and Sherlock sorting everything out with a few loving words... Yep. I like that very much.

You know, I was wondering as I was reading why they were different colors and fonts, and then I got to Bent and Push and 3am and I realized, THEY'RE SONG TITLES HA!

(I have their "Yourself Or Someone Like You" and "Mad Season" albums, so I recognized those three)
