Dec. 23rd, 2011 11:17 amThis is day 23 of the Advent calendar filled with 221Bs, brought to you by
Apart from the overall Christmasy theme we decided to refer to the previous 221B so that there will be a story in the end. Let's see how that works out.
A happy pre-Christmas season to all of you! :)

Day 23
Sherlock was sitting on the couch, deep in thoughts. John came into the room from the kitchen, having finally cleaned away the remaining dishes from the Christmas dinner, and walked over to the window.
He stood there for watching the Christmas decorations when he suddenly felt a warm presence at his back.
Sherlock embraced him and John leaned back, resting some of his weight against his lover.
“You usually look out of the window when you are upset. Did I do something wrong?”
“Hm? No. You seemed lost in thoughts and I didn’t want to disturb you. That’s all. What was on your mind?”
Sherlock was silent for a while. He buried his nose in John’s hair and breathed deeply, something he did when he needed comfort. John knew better than to push him in situations like these.
“What if you won’t like my Christmas present? What if it’s something that is a terribly rude thing to give to someone on Christmas?”
“Since you usually know what I want before I do, I wouldn’t worry to much. And in the unlikely case that I won’t like it, you’ll just have to make it up to me.”
“Hm. What do you have in mind?”
“Well, let's just say it includes you on your knees and me admiring the stretch of that cupid's bow.”

Do you know, Anarion, that, for the Orthodoxes, Christmas takes place on January 7th ? So, this way, an Advent calendar...

Date: 2011-12-23 06:28 pm (UTC)It was lovely, and I'm glad the cupid's bow got its own 'B ending'. Sherlock's insecurity is quite adorable, and I wonder what he got John that could be considered terribly rude.
Thank you for writing this, thank you for brightening my December :-)
